Overview

Jerudong or officially known as Kampong Jerudong is a settlement area in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. This is a village subdivision under the Sengkurong's subdistrict.

Kampong Jerudong is home to several notable places of Brunei such as Jerudong Park - the country's unique amusement park located in the grounds of Jerudong Park Country Club, The Empire Hotel and Country Club - a luxurious hotel as well as one of the highlight landmarks of Brunei. Kampong Jerudong has Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre which are the main specialist healthcare centers of the country.

Kampong Jerudong has a mosque named Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque serving the demands of the Muslim residents for Islamic congregational prayers and activities, especially the Jumu'ah or Friday prayers.

Jerudong Park was opened in 1994 and the first amusement park in the world to offer free admission. The park was abandoned for several years but it was revamped and relaunched in 2014. Today, Jerudong Park features several rides, musical fountain, food court, water park and an indoor amphitheater for events.
