Overview

Vinh is known as the economic and political center of Nghe An province and one of the largest urban centers in Vietnam. Vinh city is located about 295 km south of Hanoi, 1,424 km from Ho Chi Minh City and 456 km west of Vientiane, Laos. The city has the tropical monsoon climate with two distinct seasons and the average temperature of 24 degrees.

Vinh is not only one of the tourist centers of Nghe An province but also an important destination in the Central Heritage Route tour. The city owns many beautiful landscapes and historic monuments, including 14 national monuments and 16 national monuments ranked in Nghe An province.
