Myanmar is a Southeast Asian country located in the northwest of the Sino-Indian Peninsula, bordering Bangladesh, India, China, Laos, and Thailand. Myanmar has a total area of 678,500 square kilometers, is the largest country in mainland Southeast Asia and the 40th largest country in the world (after Zambia).
