Travel Mandalay Detail

Mandalay is the second largest city in Myanmar with a population of 927,000 in 2005. This is the capital of the last Burmese emperor as well as the capital of the Mandalay Region. Mandalay is located about 716 km north of Yangon in the heart of the Myanmar dryland.

Mandalay has a subtropical climate. The dry and cold winters last from October to February and the summer lasts from March to May. Each season in Mandalay has its own charm. Therefore you can travel to Mandalay in any season.

When coming to the beautiful Mandalay city, visitors will be conquered by the beauty of the lush green water, the beautiful ancient temples, and diverse cultures. Some of the main tourist attractions in Mandalay are the Ubein Bridge - the world's longest wooden bridge with a length of 1.2 km, Maha Muni - the most sacred temple of Mandalay,  Hsinbyume - the magnificent white temple in Mandalay, Mingun Pahtodawgyi - the famous temple next to Ayeyarwady River, Mandalay Palace - the main symbol of the city, and Mandalay Hills -  the location with the beautiful Mandalay panorama views.
